06 girls, any of you regret your wedding dress choice?

06 girls, any of you regret your wedding dress choice?

I always thought I wanted a strapless ballgown.

Saturday, i tried on many dresses and they were ok. Then i tried on this one. I think I'm in love. But I'm scared i might regret my choice for not going tradtional in the sense of ballgown or aline.

Any opinions, advice?

WOW, that is gorgeous Jess!!!!

I always thought I wanted A-line (from seeing pictures, etc) and that ballgowns would not look good on me, but I ended up trying on ONE ballgown and that was it!

Definitely go with what YOU feel is the perfect dress for you... don't go buy what everyone else wears.

That dress is so pretty...I think its awesome to have something different...I went w/ the standard simple A-line and I sometimes I wish that I did't play it so safe when I look at what some other brides wore

I think it's gorgeous Jess! It will look stunning on you. If you feel like this is the one, get it.

I don't regret my dress one bit. I loved it then and love it now. I just knew it was me when I tried it on.

i regretted my original dress so much that i bought a new one and returned the old one!

my first was very non-traditional...tulle ballgown. i thought i loved it but the more i looked at a-lines, the more i wished i had one. i WANTED the traditional look and wasn't comfortable with my non-trad dress.

since you know you like your non-trad dress, GO FOR IT!! i was unsure from the beginning and should have listened to my instincts

you have a few months before you have to buy. try on a bunch of different dresses and go from there. good luck!

I had a love/hate relationship with my dress through the whole process. But, I should have gone with my first instinct, I bought a dress that was very flattering to my figure ( I absolutely hate my upper arms - so I had long sleeves) which made me feel beautiful & confident all day. I still love my dress so much that I don't want to bring to the dry cleaners as I won't be able to see it for awhile (yes, I look at it like every other day still!).

Forget what you think you should wear, what you thought you would wear, etc.... Buy a dress that just makes you feel beautiful!

As I told you on LIF, you need to go with your gut!

If I had to go out & pick my wedding gown again, I would pick the exact one that I had! I loved the way it fit & looked & still love it 9 months later!

I wouldn't say regret my dress choice. When I bought my dress I thought I was very happy with it. After it came in I wasn't to thrilled with it...I thought I could have looked around more for something 'different'...all that changed when my aunt made the bolero for the dress...I LOVED it and was so happy with the dress I chose...

BTW...That dress is GORGEOUS!!!! I love that it is not traditional...it makes it even more beautiful JMO

I hated my dress - I still do.

I would say go for whatever will make you happy because your pictures will last a lifetime. You want to be able to look at them and smile - not critique your dress choice!

I think this dress is gorgeous.. If this looked great on you and you fell in love with it, get it. Because not alot of ppl can pull that dress off!!

I dont regret my dress, I love it. But I picked mine out early, so I tried on other dresses and no matter what dress I tried on or saw, I still loved my original choice - so I ended up buying.

That dress is gorgeous! I went the non-traditional route and I had some doubts along the way, but I dont regret my choice at all. I just wish that I could've worn every type of dress out there.

I dont regret the style of the dress that I've chosen, but I do wish I went with a softer top. The bodice was hard and was difficult to adjust...thus I ended up with a DDD chest

ETA: Why dont you think about it for some time and continue trying on different dresses. I found that the more dresses I tried on, the more I realized the type I really wanted.

You always have picture in your head of what gown would be perfect for you....but dress on hanger and models look different on you....so if you find a dress you LOVE but isn't your traditional dress go with what you LOVE
