06 girls can you help an 07 girl?

OK so me and the FH are TRYING to make a list of songs we want to be played at the wedding and we are kinda stuck the DJ gave us a list of popular songs but we know we are missing tons that we want to be played so I'm asking all you ladies to PLEASE post either the most popular songs you know that are played at a wedding or songs u had at your wedding! thanks ladies!

The BEST song that was played at my wedding was this:

'Heyyyyyyyyyy... heyyy baby! OOH AAH! I wanna know-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh if you'll be my girrrrrl!!'

I think it's a remake of something, but that got everyone dancing and it was just the most fun song to dance to. I love watching that part of the video. We didn't even ask for it, our DJ played it and ended up being a huge hit with the crowd!

Maybe I can try to google it when I get to work so I can get you the name of it. Or if anyone knows....

i have to say this:

i'm not a big fan on line dances, but i forgot to tell that to the dj. he played a few.... THEY WERE THE BIGGEST HIT!!!!

i had an ethnically diverse group... i'm latina and dh is polish. the line dances got EVERYONE on the dancefloor. even my 4-yo ring bearer knows the cha-cha slide!!!! it was great!!!

that might be something to think about.

Yes!! Cha-cha slide and electric slide got a HUGE response on the dance floor. Even my uncoordinated brothers tried. The video kills me!!!

What helped us is if we heard a song on the radio in the months leading to the wedding and thought it was perfect to play, we wrote it down immediately. Sometimes we even left voice messages to remind us to write it down when we got home. Nothing is harder than trying to remember what you like in a short period of time.

No not this one...the one Jess is talking about is DJ Otzi..

We left it up to the DJ to decide what songs to play - to go with what the crowd was responding to.I just told him NO group/line dances...

The one song that I can remember that had our guests on the floor was 'Sweet Caroline' the remix version...I happened to look out onto the floor when it came on - old & young were dancing...

we both hate hip hop, so we only played a little, but songs that got folks up and dancing (which is most important!!)
