07 Bride Crashing.....a new 08/08/08 bride

My brother and my soon to be beautiful sister in law just got engaged and are getting married 08/08/08. I believe they booked a place that an 08 bride had to cancel. How is all the planning going for 08/08/08 brides?? Is the date hard to book vendors. Just trying to get ideas for her and not sure whats the hardest ones out there. You can FM me if you want. how exciting...unfortunately I don't have much news to offer since I am getting married 10/4, but wanted to send my congrats to your family on such a special occasion.

Hi! We were originally trying to do 8/8/08...most of the RH we looked at were taken and it was early July. However, most of them said that it was book like 2 years in advance. So as long as they got the RH, they should be ok. But I would definitely recommend that they go look for vendors now! Are they getting married in a church??? Because they should book that soon too if they are. Tell them good luck!!!

Congrats to your brother and FSIL! I can honestly say that I didn't have much trouble booking my vendors, however, I made sure that I booked all of my major vendors up before March of 07 knowing that it would probably be a popular date! I know that when I went to my RH to make my payment 2 months ago one of the BM's made a comment... 'So you're the 8/8/08 bride! You don't know how lucky you are! Everyone has been coming in for that date!' I would suggest that they get started on their planning right away, and book up as many vendors as possible and I'm sure they will be fine!

wow how exciting!! Congrats to ure bro and FSIL!!!! She def. lucked out with booking that date!!! I'm getting married in nov. so i guess i'm not a big help with vendors for that day.. but tell her to come on over to the 08 boards..i'm sure she'll get tons of help from all the girls here!!!!!!!!

im an 8-8-08 bride...i booked most everything in te beginning of may and i didnt have a problem with anything..a lot of places/people were getting booked up but it seemed as if everything that i wanted still was open...i still have to do limos so im hoping i dont get a problem with that lol...but at this time in the game she might have to call a lot of people but im sure shell find people that are still available..she just may have to call alot and ask if they are available first before going to an appointment.....does she actually know that person who cancelled their rh? was the person on here? cause then she can maybe find out who the vendors were that were cancelled on also...either way congrats to her and good luck!

I'm an 08/08/08 bride. I booked all my vendors last month. I think she will be ok booking.

Thanks girls!! She is away this weedkend but once she is back I am gonna have her get on here and say hello!! She booked the North Ritz Club. I know I saw an 08 bride have to cancel that date and since they only do one wedding at a time I assume that this is the spot that she got since it is a Friday. I am a 8/8/08 bride, so far I only booked the RH, and photographer. should I be worried? When should I buy my wedding dress?
