07 Bride needs help--Those who had their e-party in a restaurant...

Did you have a DJ??

We are having a dinner reception in a restaurant and now, three weeks before the wedding, I am contemplating a DJ. How does that work? Do they just set up in a corner? Does the volume overpower the space?? We were just going to burn CDs with all of our favorite songs and play them over the restaurant's sound system, which is actually pretty good...

What would you do?? Need advice...

TIA

We had our e-party in a resturant, and used our CDs in their cd player. But I wanted something simple and small and easy. If you want your e-party to be more like a little wedding, get the DJ.

She's talking about her wedding

I think that a DJ should know how to control the space...but unless there is room for people to dance, I think the CDs would work fine (for you to dance with your father, Your first dance and FH and his mom)

If you are going to use your own cd's of music, it might not be worth the money for the dj.

Some inexpensive options in case you need are:
In the Mixx
FM Entertainment
