07 Bride needs help with photos!

Hi 06 brides and congrats! I have a photo question... my fiance and I only have a little time between the ceremony and reception (11 am ceremony, 12:30 reception). We both feel like seeing each other before the wedding will ruin the moment a little bit where we first see each other, but otherwise I don't know how we can make it to our cocktail hour... any suggestions? Anyone done pics without FH before the ceremony and the rest after and still made the cocktail?

You can do pics without your FH when the photographer comes to your house while you are getting ready. Like mine is coming 2 hours before the church so I can do some family pics of my side and what not then after the ceremony they can take pics of my FH side and of us and bridal party and what ever else. Hope that helps.

Find a good photographer that can do it. We are in the exact same situation. We are leaving the church going to the reception hall, taking pictures fast and making it to the last half hour of our cocktail hour. I know it is tight but I have confidence it will work out.

I will keep you posted on how it turns out!

You will have enough time if you take your pictures at Lands End... I wouldnt suggest going to another site though( a park). I wouldnt want to se FH before ceremony. That was the most memorable moment for me!!! Walking down the aisle and seeing FH waiting for me on the alter!!! I wouldnt give that up!!

sorry - when i looked at this post before, there was a title, but nothing else written.
anyway, are you getting married at the reception site? if not, how far away is your church from the RH? and how long did your officiant say your ceremony will take? all that will play in...
if your church and your RH aren't too far apart, and your ceremony isn't very long, i'm sure you can make it to at least the 2nd half of your cocktail hour.
our ceremony is at 1:30 - my pastor says it should only take 20-30 min. i am praying to be in the limos by 2:15 because our RH is 45min-1hr away and the photographer needs about an hour for pics. so we need to be at RH to do pics by 3 for our 4 cocktail hour. it's cutting it close, but doable.
