I wanted to if any of the 06'ers went to Hawaii for there HM? If so, how much spending money approx. will I need?? I heard some brides spent $6-$7k's
We're staying in Oahu for 5 days and Maui for 6. I'm just trying to get an idea as to much I will need.

it totally depends what kind of activities you want to do and your restaurant choices----we could have spent a lot more, but we also could have spent less....HTH

I think we brought $1k cash (leftover from tips from the wedding) and were ok. We used our credit cards for a lot of the expenses.
Food is what got us, especially since we ordered wine with each meal. All in all, including rental cars and hotel fees, for 2 weeks, we spent between $3k. We didn't pay for our lodging though so we didn't hold back. We used a timeshare and points.
ETA: Just double checked how much we spent, we did have to pay for one night's accomodations.

I can't really comment too much regarding this because our stay was free. However, we did spend about $2000 in spending money on restaurants, food, shopping, etc.
But i've heard anywhere from $6,000-$10,000 that people have spent total (stay & spending $) for 2 weeks.

I would say we spent about $2-3k for the 10 days we were there. But it does depend on where you go and what activies you want to do.

wow.. that's not that bad... $2-4k is good spending money.... thanks ladies
I want a nice HM and I want to do things and go to places while we're there.. but I don't want to break the bank...
btw, I booked my hotels and flights together.. and that's pd. for... it was the spending money that I was worried about.

We didnt pay for our flights - Mom gave us her miles.
I think we spent about 6K for 11 days including hotels and activities. We were on four islands.
Suggestion... I dont know if Hyatt still offers this, or if it had to do with the agency where we booked our HM, but if you spend a total of 7 nights at one or more Hyatt hotel, they throw in the beautiful buffet breakfast which would normally cost $25 per head. Now to me, no amount of omelettes and pineapple are worth that much, but its something to think about.

we're flying cargo... wanna come I wish we were flying 1st class... but I wasn't thinking about that at the time when I booked the HM... I hope that I'll be comfortable...

well we're staying at the Sheraton Moana Surfrider Hotel in Oahu for 5 and the Westin in Maui for 6... so I don't think we have enough days per hotel to get free food...

Hello.
We saw 4 islands while we were there...Hawaii, Maui, Kauai, and Oahu (just for one day)
We stayed at the following:
Hawaii-Hapuna Prince Maui-Four Seasons Kauai-Grand Hyatt Oahu-no hotel
Our HM with all flights and rental cars was about $9k....and we spent A LOT while we were there.
Because we only stayed 4 nights on each island except Maui, we lost out on the 5th night free packages that a lot of the hotels offer there.
It was so worth it, we definitely want to go back.
