Re: 08 bride -- bora bora&moorea (VS) Tahiti&Moorea
i was only in tahiti one night so cant really comment.. but if you are going all the way over there IMO BoraBora is a must.. it is pricey but it is beautiful... what if you downgrade your room in moorea to a regular garden room?? (if that exists)
is the orient express a hotel or part of the intercontinental?? sometimes if you book the same hotel chain on both islands you may get a better price..
if you havent already, try pricing it out with another company and sometimes your TA will beat the price to get your HM booked through them..
i used goway travel.. booked all thru email and it was great.. very helpful and we even had our flight cancelled to moorea while we were in tahiti but they managed to arrange other means of travel right away that morning with no issues and credited us the difference in price(which wasnt much!)
fm if you want the guys email..

From the people i know that have gone there, Bora Bora is the only island worth going to...they said if htey were to ever go back, they would ONLY go to Bora Bora

I don't have specific feedback on the hotels, but most couples on this site focus on Bora Bora and Moorea, staying only overnight on Tahiti.
DH and I spent more time on Tahiti than average, and we think it's underrated as a travel destination. (We went to Tahiti, Bora Bora, and Moorea.) It's definitely the most urban (relatively speaking, of course), which admittedly not many couples are looking for. We drove around the island and shopped in Papeete, the capital. If you're looking for black pearls, you'll find the most shops in Papeete, although there are shops on other islands. That said, BB is the apex of chilling and luxury in French Polynesia.
Of the two choices you mentioned, I suggest going to BB/Moorea over Tahiti/Moorea.
