im getting married 2/2 my dress is in i made an appt. for 11/12 for my first fitting but i dont know if that is too soon
my only other option is to have my first fitting over xmas break and 2nd fitting MLK weekend (2 weeks before wedding)

I had my first fitting in February.......we got married in May. I think it's a good idea to go early, just so your seamstress can get an idea of what needs to be done............Some girls only need one fitting, others need 4 or 5......in my case, it was A LOT.........
Maybe talk to your seamstress and see what she suggests

I am making an appointment for my first fitting in the first week in November - they think my wedding is 12/8 and not 12/29 too.
As long as they will do your fitting then I don't see why you can't have it done then! Just make sure not to lose/gain any weight after your final fitting.

Are you the kind of person who tends to lose weight when you're busy or stressed? If you are then wait until after Christmas. If you're usually consistent then go next month.

It totally depends on you and what you are comfortable with. My dress came in May for my upcoming October wedding I went to see it tried it on for fun and we saw it didn't need any drastic alterations so went for my first fititng a month ago (I wanted to wait a bit bc I wanted to lose some weight) and I did my second fitting last week, my third fitting is 10-19 and hopefully it will be PERFECT! GOOD LUCK!
