08er with mexican travel question

Hello ladies...Congratulations to all you 09 Brides!

I got married last June, and my husband and I were planning our 1 year anniverary trip in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. I'm sure some of you have booked or have recently traveled to mexico for your honeymoons....My question is...What are your travel agents telling you about health and safety concerns. Are you still traveling? Did you re-book(especially if you are traveling in the next month)

Just wanted to know how people felt about health concerns.

Just want to say congrats on your upcoming anniversary. I got married also on June 21, 2008 and traveled to Riviera Maya, Mexico for our HM. We stayed at the Grand Princess Resort and had an amazing time! At this point, I would not recommend going to there due to the numerous cases of swine flu effecting Mexico as well as other countries. As soon as people land, they're expected to have face masks on. As you can see in the city, it has been spreading from school to school in Queens and currently East Harlem. I would personally hold off the trip for now until the swine flu cases subside. Just my two cents.
