08er with RSVP Question

Hi and Congrats to everyone who made it through the planning process to their special day. I'm wondering how many people DONT show up to your ceremony, but will be at the reception? I have an invite list of about 160, but the ceremony site I'm looking into only holds ~100. Do you think they'll be sardined? Thanks.

it's most likely only half the ppl (if that) will go to the ceremony. what day is ur wedding? if it's on a fri, a majority of the ppl will only make it to the reception.

Wow...that's much less than what I expected. Our wedding is at 5:30pm on a Saturday night.

I had a PACKED church....I think everyone except for 5 people out of the 130 peope who attended came It was tight, I actually had some people stading, but it worked....Don't sweat it too much

we had about 180 at our reception and i'd say less than half came to church... we had a decent amount but nowhere near the reception amount. Ours was on a Friday so I think that is why. We had some people that weren't even invited to our wedding come to church.. so that probably made up for some of the other people.. so we would have had even less.

we had our cermony at the hall, and there were only 5 people who didn't make it to mine, everyone was there, I even sent out little cards to say we recieved their rsvp, and told them that the cermony started at 12, followed by the cocktail hour at 12:30, so that no one would show up mid cermony... if they wanted to come just in time for the Cocktail hour, then don't come before 12:30. Of course it was phrased better then that

can you have spare chairs brought into the church just in case? Also, how many of your guests are OOT? I think that will determine a lot of who comes to the ceremony.
