Re: '09 bride crashing with question!
They are definitely closing down. I've heard great things about Crescent Beach Club though they are a little pricey. There's also Chateau La Mer, Riviera, Land's End, just to name a few.

if you are looking for ON the beach... crescent beach club is AMAZING! i agree with the fact they are a lil pricey - but so worth it! IF I could afford it I woudl do it there!
Theres also Gurney's in Montauk,,, that's on the beach as well. I was in a wedding party there once.. very nice place.
Chateau is very nice (I am biased lol) but there is no sand, but it is on the water... i dont know if you jsut want water, or the sand aspect too... but CBC and Gurney's and Atlantica are the only three I know that are physically on the beach. (Sorry to hear about the Atlantica - that was a nice place!

Cbc and lands end were my two choices...we chose lands end for a more elegant feel...cbc was very modern. They usually do big weddings not sure about pricing for small...we also didn't like it was in a residential area (btwn two houses) and they have a restraunt open . Bt I def fell in love with the view. To each their own yah know? We felt a sense of comfort at lands end

my brother's first choice was actually land's end but they require a 135 min. and he wants a really small wedding! (prob around 100 total!)
