09 crasher! Invitation question...

Hey girls,

So I have been looking at invitations lately and have noticed how expensive some can be. Can anyone tell me what the average cost of invitations were for them (already made)- I need about 150-175 invitations.....

Thanks!!

would you consider making them yourself. It can cut the cost dramatically. I've also heard good things about Party City for invitations.

I was definitly considering it - I want to see what the price difference would be and then decide...

I've seen a few ladies here do them themselves and they look as great as if it was ordered.

I'm getting 175 invitations, printed outer envelopes, lined inner envelopes, reception card and rsvp card, with colored ink on all printed pieces (but not envelopes) for ~$400

I went the party city route. Party city has alot of books to look thru and order thru a company at 30% discount - sometimes 40%.

My invites are stylart invites - the red ones - and with everything for 150 - all the envelopes, lining in the envelopes, return address printed on main envelope and return ernvelope, and for special color foil for the print mine were just under 450...but I also got alllllll the bells and whistels that you can get when ordering invites.

FM me with any questions!

well to give you an idea, i orignally ordered invitations and the lady screwed me over and instead of sending it to me the middle of march like she had guaranteed she must've gotten confused and told me she would be finished middle of april lol. Anyways last second i had to make them myself bc i didnt even have time to order from a place that would do them quickly and god forbid one thing was wrong i didnt have time for them to fix it. So i duplicated the exact invite i had ordered, the total cost came out to almost exactly the 50% deposit i had gave to the invitation company so just about half the price

I paid about $500 (including calligraphy, invite, RSVP, seals, inner and outer envelopes, return addresses) for 150 invites which were from Just Announce It! in Oceanside (they're now a LIW vendor).

They had a large selection and also something to fit every budget...pics of mine are in my album btw.
