50-60 because that's all I can afford..

How did you and your FI meet?

I use to work with FH's roommate who introduced us to each other

Evening or afternoon wedding?

I'm having an afternoon wedding for financial reasons. If I had the money I'd definately prefer a Saturday night!

What's your favorite way to spend quality time with your FH?

We love to travel in 2006 went to the Bahamas; South Beach, Miami; Key West, FL and Calica, Mexico. Our next trip is to Vegas in October to celebrate our anniversary. We also both love Sports and we like to go to restaurants.


What style of wedding gown do you like?

I love the ball gown style and monarch trains! If we have a summer wedding, which is likely, I'll probably go with A-line/chapel by Maggie or someone. I haven't gone gown hunting yet so I'm not too sure which designer I'll go with.

Best present your FH has given you? What was the occasion?

One of those squishy pillows shaped like a heart and he wrote the lyrics to Billy Joel's 'She's Got A Way' on it. It was for Valentine's Day and he had actually sent that song to me on a tape in the mail years before that.

How did he propose?

Okay, this'll probably be the lengthiest response in game history

He proposed on December 14, 2005 on our 5 year anniversary! We were both in college and it was Finals Week... the day before my most important final!

I was at a friend's house studying with our classmates when he called me and said he was downstairs! Mind you, a week before this, I'd found a jewelery store reciept in his pocket, which he quickly snatched.. claiming it was some kind of brochure I fell for it! So I was telling the girls how I'd found this and they're all like 'He's gonna propose!! Watch' I was so blind so I didn't agree.

So he meets me downstairs and tells me to pick any restaurant for us to spend a little time together since it was our anniversary! Since I wasn't expecting the proposal, I chose Applebees since we'd never gone there! OMG what a horrible choice! if only I knew he was gonna propose!

Anyway, let me get to the point. We're eating.. conversing and what not... and he says 'Jeanine, look down' I'm like 'Huh? what?' The ring box had been sitting on the table for over a minute and I didn't even notice! Can you tell that I'm not at all an observant person?

So I started crying!!!! Hyperventilating and what not as he reads me a letter expressing all the reasons he loves me and feels that the time is right!!!!

It was amazing! As he finished reading, he got on his knee... and the rest is history I called Mom and Dad right away and they'd already known! He asked them first!

I think all the '09 girls should answer this one (all 4 of you lol) so I'll pass the question on!

Ok, my fiance and I have been together for 6.5 years and I always thought he wouldn't do it until after college. I had been pressuring him the semester before because I had overheard a convo that my mom was having and I heard that he had his grandmother's ring so I was like 'Well he has a ring so why won't he commit?'

Anyways, turns out he was planning to ask this summer and I had no idea. He was telling all of his family and at his brother's wedding and he asked my step-dad that day permission to marry me.

A little less than a month later, he calls me and he says let's go to the beach. (we see each other everyday so that wasn't weird at all) I wasn't really feeling it but I said okay anyway since we hadn't added anything to our beach glass collection in awhile. We get to the beach and we're walking and I was holding my flip-flops and he takes them from me and then we keep walking and two minutes later he says 'Baby, I have a confession to make, I didn't bring you here to look for beach glass, I brought you here to answer a question.' Then he got down on one knee and he asked will you marry me? And then I cried for like a minute a finally shook my head yes. Totally blindsided me and it was the most perfect day of my life.

As a sidenote too, the ring is a three stone, and the diamonds are from my mom's engagement ring, and his 2 grandmother's engagement rings...same cut and everything!!

What season do you want to get married in and why?

I went with my fiancee' on business to Atlanta and before we left NYC to drive down there he had been talking about getting a chain for himself and that he would save money on tax if he bought it in Georgia. So, once we get to ATL (16 hour drive ) and run some errands we go to a jewelry store that his brother suggested to him. When the sales woman approaches us and asks, 'How may I help you?' He replies, 'Oh yes we would like to look at engagement rings...'


Needless to say I was shocked and overjoyed at the same time. He picked out a vintage ring and I was able to get it sized right there and leave the store with my BLING!

We wanted to get married in the summer or the early fall becasue we both love to travel and love the outdoors and beautiful weather. The only thing we both like about winter are the clothes/fashion.

What is the next trip you and your FI will take?

The next trip.. how bout the first trip? We started dating in HS then went to college and had no time or $$ for travel... plus, each summer one of us would always end up taking summer courses.

We used to LOVE going away for his NSBE trips though! The furthest we've been together is Texas, and that was for a NSBE Convention. Maybe we'll go somewhere this summer now that he's working

Great question! The sad thing is that I CAN'T REMEMBER!!!!
We hung out EVERYDAY since we went to the same HS so I don't even think we went on a 'date' until months and months later.

Jeanine, you're the official 09-er on the 08 boards, so I'll answer you question.... we went to see the lamest movie ever! Darkness Falls. We were literally the only two people in the theater! The entire theater, not just our onw.... we closed the place dooooooooooown!
