I didn't go to these places for my gown, but went for bridesmaid gowns and was impressed overall:

The Wedding Plaza in Floral Park has a nice selection and so does Lilettes in Baldwin. I hear RK Bridal in Manhattan is great too....just very busy.

I bought my gown in Fontana is Scarsdale.. I don't know where you are, but it's worth the drive if anything... They have a HUGE selection there and they are very very professional... I worked there too and I can still say that

I got my dress at lillettes baldwin! they have a great selection..and definately make an appointment with geri..she's a doll!
