Can you all be so kind as to provide feedback on the band The Projekt??
FH and I are seriously considering booking them for the wedding and want to see to know:
How are they to work with? If you had your wedding, how was the performance? Did they follow directions pertaining to song lists?
Thanks! Jess

I haven't seen them in person but heard they were AMAZING. I was strongly considering them but I fell in love with another band.

How did/why did you decide to book with Times Square Orchestra??
My only issue is I haven't been to a lot of showcases, do you think that matters??
TIA!!!

Re: '09er Crashing :: The Projekt
I have heard that they are great. I haven't heard them however, in person or on a cd or anything. just heard from some people on here that they were excellent.
can i recommend my band to you - soul revival???? Awesome awesome band, great feeling when I saw them at their showcase, and the main guy, justin, has been great to deal with. never heard a bad thing about them and their prices are very reasonable compared to others I spoke to. DEFINITELY go to see whatever band you are thinking about booking. We only went to see ours and then decided they were the one, but i would strongly recommend seeing your band live, see how they interact with each other, with you the audience, etc.
good luck! picking a band was a really fun part of the planning for me. we had a specific sound we wanted to have, and we did a loty of research and soul revival was it for us.
i have also heard great things about renegade.

I was considering the Projekt for a while too....I liked them a lot but I wasn't crazy about the fact that they use a cd during dinner. I went with TSO because I thought they sounded the best. They were great at our wedding and with more band members I thought they gave a better sound when compared to projekt. My sister also used renegade-- who were wonderful as well- I just wanted to make sure our wedding was different then hers:) Good luck!

'09er here too...
My brother used the projekt for his wedding and they were amazing. We were going to book them for our wedding but their price was a lot higher than we wanted to pay.

I went to listen to them play at a club and the audience never stopped dancing. They were amazing and so easy to work with. It was a done deal for me the second I heard them. That's why I didn't bother going to see the Projekt but I heard they were GREAT!!!

Re: '09er Crashing :: The Projekt
We booked the Projeckt for our wedding and they are really great!
Someone i know's sister used them for their wedding and told me the Projekt made their wedding a big hit.
We saw a few bands at different showcases, but after checking out the Projeckt's web site and all the great songs we just knew we were going to like them the best.
We went to see them 2 times at showcases at New Hyde Park Inn and we loved them. They sing a wide range of songs and if you want your guests to dance a lot you should go see them in person after you checked out their great web site.
They are the house band at New New HydePark Inn and play there 1 time each month so iIwould go see them play.
The Projeckt does not use cd's. Before we signed we asked them about breaks and having no music playing. When they take a break someone is always playing so no cd or down time. We booked 7 pc and min 1-2 people always be playing at all times and it also says it in the contract.

See I want them to play certain songs from a CD so that doesnt bother me!
Thanks for the advice!

I actually just got an invite from Russo's that they are having a showcase featuring the Projeckt on October 15 @ 7:30. Even if you are not getting married at Russo's you can still attend.

We had The Projekt at our wedding and they were AMAZING! Everyone could not believe how great they sounded. Our first dance sounded better than the CD! I highly recommend them!
