We stayed at the Hyatt Regency on both islands, they were awesome, beautiful hotels. They even have an island hopper package and if you stay at the hyatt on both islands you get free breakfast included. This was 100% worth it because you get a ton of food. FM me if you want more info.

we stayed at the hyatt in kaua'i and loved it. We stayed at the fairmont kea lani in maui and really didn't like it. We ate at the four seasons one night and we liked that hotel much better. HTH

They Hyatt in Kauai was amazing, but very expensive. We stayed at the Kaanapali beach hotel in Maui, which was amazing, and only 205 a night with breakfast. We were upgraded to what they called a 'pool view', but it really was an ocean view -- we could see and hear the waves from our balcony. I loved this place. NOt fancy, but large spacious rooms with balconies, and its on best part of the beach - next to the Sheraton. The people who work there are so nice. I can't recommend it enough!

We did 10 days. Both in Hyatts in maui and Honolulu. We paid for everything $6000. We went through AAA. You should check them out. If you want more info FM me.

We really liked Hanalei colony resort...it is a condo development and the crowd is older...but our room was amazing, and it was an unbelievable value...around 225 a night for a huge beautiful suite. The restaurant there is not so hot, and it is a 20 minute drive to other food. I also like that side of the island better.

Check the Sheraton in Maui at Kaanapali Beach. We got it for a great price and Loved it!! It's not the super super fancy place but it has the best stretch of beach, a good restaurant, a few bars, nice rooms and great service. Definitely worth the price. DH and I would def stay there again if we ever went back to Maui!
