09'er needs your help...yet again...

How did you decide what your card box was going to look like...?

Im kinda stuck...obviously you used your colors for the wedding... but the other details....

I would like to get my box from the modern bride...but im so confused on what to get....

ANy help or suggestions!

Haha...I didn't. This is 1 thing I totally forgot about. We got to the reception and they let us borrow theirs. It was fine!

I had a vision of what I wanted...my theme was seashells so I looked for a basic white satin pirate chest type of cardbox, and I decorated it with seashells, pearls and ribbon. What is your theme and colors? We will try to help you !!

I looked through the samples on modern bride and took what I liked from each and my moh made it for me and put some personal touches for me. Pics are in my album

Thanks! well my colors are taupe and sable with accents of tiffany blue and pinks

I didn't get a cardbox because I wanted to use the card bag instead...many girls on here got them and they were beautiful though! I'd start looking on the website and start with your colors...think about if you want a theme (like if you are using calla lillies let's say) and build from there. I think that the simple boxes are the most elegant. You'd want your names and the date on the front too, of course. HTH

Hmm, I actually didn't make a big deal out of the card box.

We had an elegant wedding and all, don't get me wrong, but I just got a very simple card box. I didn't want anything overstated because personally, I felt a little awkward about the idea. I know it's a wedding and it's understood that people are bringing u gifts, but having that box out made it look like I was holding my hands out and ASKING for gifts.

That's just my personal opinion. We did have a card box that I got from a party store, it was white with lace, and we had it on a table near the cake with 2 of me and DH's engagement pictures and candles were on the table, as well as rose petals. The box itself was on the simple side but the setup was gorgeous
