im a teacher so if i end up taking our honeymoon the week after the wedding, im gonna have to notify my job now. however, i wanna take thurs and fri off b4 the weddiing, were getting married on a sat. Do u think id need that thurs off?
i may just do the honeymoon when im off so i can take those 2 days off b4hand if they are really needed. what do u think?

I was teaching when I got engaged last year and we decided to take the honeymoon a month after...summer time. We wanted to take a 2week honeymooon and summerwas the only time to do it! I say take your few days before then a few days after then go away and have your time whenever you can! Even though this year I am not teaching, we are still doing this...
Fh's family was anti this idea... but you know what.. they arent getting married- we are hehehe

I would take that Thursday. I know now it seems like you'll have enough time but I took off from work Wed, Thur, and Fri before my wedding on Saturday. You'll be able to spend time with your family and get any last minute things done. I was able to go to lunch with family on the Thurs afternoon because I had the day before to get everything else done. It will make you way less stressed. Good luck!

i took off wed thurs fri for my sat wedding..i think its important to take some extra time so that u can relax and not feel so rushed..i was able to get all the last min stuff done and on fri i got a massage and mani pedi and i felt so relaxed the night before the wedding

Definitely take that THURSDAY off even though you think you'll have enough time- I would recommend taking it off to either just enjoy your family/ friends or be by your self or run around tying up the loose ends.
take the extra day and go away a little later if you need to... and only take a couple days after the wedding to enjoy each other and relax right after it and enjoy being a married couple

I am a teacher too. I am taking off thurs and my wedding is fri and the monday after it. My principle is the one who told me to take off Monday and enjoy a couple of days married. Then I am taking off the week of Martin Luther KingJr for the honeymoon. It was way too expensive to go Christmas week.

I would take off the Thursday too. I got married in the summer so that I'd have weeks off before and after the wedding, so I'd definitely say take as much time as you can! It is going to get crazy that last week!

I would take thurs off. DH is a teacher so what we did was he took off thurs, mon and tuesday and we did a short honeymoon to Punta Cana. When he had his break 3 weeks later we did the long honeymoon in Jamaica. I really needed the last two days with all the last minute running around. If you can take off both days I would say do it.
