For those of you doing an hour and a half cocktail hour, Was this something you asked for or your hall offered?
Also how much additional are you being charged for it?
We're getting married at the RH and FH doesnt want to see me before the wedding. I dont want to miss the cocktail hour. So if I can extend it then I think it would be a win win for everyone. Just not sure if its going to be worth the price.

Hour and half ch was a requirement for me bc imo its the best part of the party and I don't want to miss it. As far as cost.. we tweeked around and took out other things to add it. To me its soooo worth it! Oh and we are seeing eachother before ceremony.

I couldn't agree more. I think we are paying like an additional $700 for the extra half hour....but soooo worth it in our opinions!

we were given an extra hour to the reception so we are going to split it... and have an hour and a half CH and add the extra half hour to the reception

We were going to add a half hour to our CH but then FH and i decided we were going to take our pics before hand so it became unneccessary...
CLM was going to charge us an extra 4.00 pp.

We are paying $4.00 pp as well, but we are taking photos in between church and CH and wanted to make sure we didn't miss it. We are tacking 1/2 hour to CH and 1/2 to reception. Totally worth it.

We asked the RH if we could get an extra hour right before we signed and she threw it in. I kept on asking for them to drop the price and they weren't budging so they threw in the extra hour plus a few other extras. We're going to split the extra hour between the CH and VH.

We didn't ask for it. The CH at our RH is always 1.5 hours. They said people will need the time for all that food lol

We are doing an hour and a half it was included. I think the cocktail part of a reception is such a great time, and usually the time when people eat the most. Especially if you are taking your pics during the cocktail hour, I would make it the extra 30 min so you can enjoy it too! Just make sure you get there in that extra 30 min. I hear photots can take a nice amount of time!!

defffff wanted extended CH
we just asked and our RH threw it in...they gave us an extra hour
and i am doing what some of the other girls said
1/2 hour onto CH
and 1/2 hour at the end of reception/Viennese hour!!

I was told the 'clock' doesnt start on CH till I show up, seriously. Were doing as many pics as possible before hand

we added an hour to the reception...but i never thought to do half n half n split it up with the cocktail hour n the reception i wonder if my RH does that

mine certainly is not included but we are thinking of adding an additional hour - 1/2 to cocktail and 1/2 to the reception!
