1 Day Left...

Well, technically 2, but one mailing day, to the RSVP deadline, and there are 53 people outstanding!

I want to throw something right now. We're 30 people under our minimum. I am not confident that those left outstanding are actually coming...I would say more than half are definite NOs because they are out of state, upstate, not close, etc.



Looks like my 6-7 vendors will have to count towards the minimum. I'm very disappointed by this whole process. We were expected to go above and beyond for other family events, and now when it's our turn we got a major thumbing of the nose.

I hope this means you will NOT be going above and beyond for certain family members anymore.

Sorry!! RSVP was the WORST part for me!!

Sorry RSVP's were the worst part. We had to track people down. One couple still never responded we put them as no. I don't understand we put stamps on them how hard is it to mail it. We had so many no's and many no's to my bridal shower. never got anything from them. We bearly made our minimum. All's I have to say is less gifts and events we need to go to in the future. Also our bill to the RH was cheaper. FH's godmother is not even coming to the wedding.

You also had a 125 min too, right? At least you already made your min! If I had made my min and still had people outstanding, I'd definitely go in to eff you mode and count them all as nos, and if they showed up, they wouldn't have a seat. But I'm 30 flipping people short of my min still!!!

Are the numbers you have posted by your avatar your most current count?

I feel your pain! I have a 150 min and 100 outstanding RSVP's my due date is next week. I'm pi$$ed about a few no's I received from some second cousins because they are the reason I booked a 150 min. I was tired of them saying at funerals the only time they see the family is when someone dies. So I give them a reason to see the family for a happy occasion and suddenly they can't take off work or have other plans. UGH!!!

my min is actually 130 but my moh didnt rsvp along with a few other bp members lol

Not yet, because they never called me/sent the letter yet for our menu appointment...I spoke to the secretary last week about the insurance and tried to make the appointment then, and she told me to wait until the first week of November and if I didn't hear anything by then to call and try to make it again Hopefully by the time I go I have a better idea of how far off I'll be.

Yeah, these are my numbers as of 10/30...tomorrow is the last day, and watch I don't get anything in the mail, and I'll go on a killing spree.

I gotta say I learned a lot about people during this process and it has definatly opened my eyes. I finally know who my real family and friends really are....and what a surprise!!

You may end up getting a few last minute add-ons..the week before our wedding we got like 2 phone calls if guests that originally RSVP'd single, asked to bring a guest.

Don't stress yet!! Things will be changing even up to the week of the wedding.

With a large amount of OOT guests it seems almost impossible to get a good read of how many people to invite to hit around your minimum. There's always that fear of over inviting and ending up with way too many people so I totally understand why you didn't go that route.

I would be persistent with your hall manager about trying to have them drop your minimum, even by just a few... which means a few hundred $$.

Im sorry Ali I totally know what you're going through

I feel like this happens to everyone! People are just soooooooo selfish and dont see how important it is to hand in the rsvp on time. I would start calling people or sending our emails. Thats what DH and I had to do and got on people right away.
