1 day pre cana/foccus

1 day pre cana/foccus

Ok I know I posted already about pre cana in one day, but do any of your girls know of any churches that allow Non Parishoners to take a pre cana which includes Foccus in ONE day only.

I'm doing Precana for $100 for one day and that's it done. I'm doing it at Our Lady of Lourdes in Massapequa Park. It's a church we've never even stepped foot into nor getting married at. Very lax and nice people on phone. Offered one Saturday each month.

I called them, but they said you need to do FOCCUS online from the Diocese and then meet with a group. So their pre cana and FOCCUS is separate. Otherwise Im doing it there.

That could be worth looking into for FH and I depending on how long the PreCana classes are in Franklin Square and our schedules are boooked solid with two jobs each!

what's FOCCUS??

FOCCUS is part of the marriage prep program. It's a set of questions that you and FH answer separately and then you get together with your priest to discuss your answers. It's designed to get you and your FH to talk about important things before the big day like finances, kids, religion, sex....some questions are kind of awkward to talk about with a priest but it's part of the process... lol

We did our precana through the Diocese of Rockville Centre and it was a Saturday and Sunday 9-3... we had a very good experience. I'm not sure of any that are ONLY one day. You have to do the FOCCUS beforehand because they give you your results at precana.
