awww! It's so sweet of you to think of their anniversary.

I say, get a registry item, if any are remaining. If not, give them a gift card.

So far, we have received a few anniversary gifts. Our moms went overboard, of course.

But, we also received a gift certificate for a restaurant for $50. Someone else gave us a really pretty plaque decorated with roses and an anniversary poem.

For 2 of my friends, I sent them $50 gift cards for their 1st anniversaries, so they'll probably send the same gift back

My FH's brother's 1 yr anniv was this past Sat. We got them a gift cert to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in Garden City for $100.

I wanted to get them something from theie registry however all the stuff was bought off the Fortunoffs one and the Target one no longer exists.

Well since the first anniversary is traditionally a 'paper' gift, you don't have to go overboard, but maybe just be creative.

I was just thinking the same thing - it's a great opportunity to be creative, and make something nice without spending very much at all.

that's true, but try to find out if they already have things framed, etc.

We already framed our newspaper announcements and papal blessing.

What about getting them some monogrammed stationary, return address labels, pens, etc. It's always nice to have for Thank yous and things like that and fits with the paper theme

I would say a gift cert to a restaurant or a store. That way they can buy what they really need or spend a nice night out together.

I would get them something off the registry. Maybe help finish china or glasses.

I know that's what I'd like

I would get something from their registry or gift certificate to their favorite restaurant. I think 1-year is 'paper' gift.

Gift cards are great, everyone can use them. Treat them to a movie if they never get to them, if they always want to eat out find their favorite spot, if they like to stay at home get them a GC to Blockbuster. popcorn, movies, something for them to use on themselves. Hope the ideas helped. I don't think it is what you spend but the thought, like a card and something small. I am sure they understand you are not treating them to another honeymoon
