1 year anniversary trips

Hi ladies, my one year wedding anniversary is coming up in a few months!! I can't believe i'm almost married one year already!! Anyways, I'm trying to plan a trip for us. Not sure if I want to stay in the states and just drive somewhere..Possibly Maine, Mass. etc. Or if we want to fly somewhere?? We aren't really beach people too much. We love to explore new cities and go hiking in the mountains. So please does anyone have any ideas of where we could go?? I'd love to hear if you ladies are planning trips and where you would go for your first married anniversary!

My husband and I have been to Maine many times and it is beautiful. He actually would like to move there eventually. But if you are looking for a vacation I have to say Bar Harbor in Maine is amazing. Definitely a great place to visit especially during the Spring / Summer months. It's also great if you like the outdoors like you said you do. I believe there are also hiking locations in the national parks there too. I highly suggest checking it out.

What about Niagara falls, CA, or Vegas (Grand Canyon etc)?

If you want something that is w/in driving distance you can do Martha's Vineyard, Mystic (like the above poster mentioned) or Newport RI. We loved Newport!!
