1 YR MARK & DRESS FOUND! (sorry, long)
HOW WONDERFUL MY ONE YEAR MARK WAS!
After a rough morning at work, the day seemed to fly...I kept glancing at the clock to see what time it was and to imagine myself one year forward. I have been tearing up all day.
Had plans to go BM Dress shopping with two of my girls, and it turned into ME finding the dress of my dreams!!!
As some of you may remember, I have been dreading the gown search since I am plus size, but when I saw the Maggie Sottero Eleganza dress I was ready to try her on. The woman at the Bridal Suite (Angela) was perfect - she knew not only what to do, but what the 'moment' met, and she refused to let me try it on since my mom wasn't there. Thankfully, mom lives around the corner, so we called her up, and she came flying down to finally see her only daughter in a wedding gown. Angela also insisted I try other dresses on, and she knew to save Eleganza for last. Sure enough, after 3 'fake try ons', I put on THE ONE. Tears from me, mom, my girls and Anglea came. Like my FH, the search was over before it had begun.
It was so much more fun than I could have expected, and I am sooo happy that I look good in a dress that I love so much. (PS - what are the chances that the sample was MY size? It zipped up perfectly!)
Thanks for bearing with the story. I know only you ladies can truly relate to what this whole experience has been like, and it's a pleasure to share with you all.
