So with 10 days left I just remembered that I never bought any table cameras. Past brides - are they worth it? Should I get out to Price Club and buy them - or should I not?
Any thoughts or opinions are welcome - Thanks in Advance!
And Happy Thanksgiving!!

Hmmm - that's a tough one. We did and we got a few really cute shots, but a lot of crappy shots. For us, it was worth the money, but we only had 8 to buy and develop. Another possibility would be to ask friends/family to forward you doubles/e-mails of the candid photos they took.

thanks - I'd have to get 16 of them. . . I think I'll ask people to email me copies of whatever they take. . . I dont know that I have the time or energy to get out to Price Club and buy the cameras, let alone the $$$.

Same here! Most people had cameras so got better pics from the doubles/emails....and some our friends were really silly, have a whole table of breast pics!
But I got some great food and other little details pictures from them. From now on when I got to a wedding, try to take those as well!

Totally hit it right on the head with this post...
Some cute shots, but mostly crappy. Others forgot to take pics and two table cameras went home with other guests It was a mystery to find them, but we finally did. One lady took it home, then brought it on vacation with her...umm...thanks! We wanted to take it on our HM, but please...go right ahead!

See now I had 80% good shots.. the rest were soso.. I also developed them w/ a cd so you can enhance them more.. I got really nice shots I would not have gotten.. I too had 16 cameras.

I say no. We didn't have them and they weren't missed.

Re: 10 days left - should I buy table cameras?
DEFINITELY
ETA: I didn't get them developed yet, but for the price it cost me for the Fuji cameras ($36 total - I had coupons) and what it will cost me to develop them ($40), I feel it will be worth it... even if there are only some good pictures.
I asked my folks to take the cameras home after the wedding since DH and I had a lot to carry and we were staying at the Hilton the night of the wedding. my OOT family went over to my parents house the next day and finished off the film on some cameras that had pics left and I am really looking forward to seeing them.
IMO, in the total cost of the wedding, this is a tiny fraction.

a lot of our friends took pictures with their digital cameras, I would think if you have a lot of young people coming the table cameras wont be necessary...

If I had to do it over, I wouldn't. Only about half of each camera was taken, I am missing 3 and the pics that ppl took werent that good.

My borther did them and got the most awsome pics from it... the photographer took the basic shots, but the candid ones were better on the table cameras

If you have a lot of friends with digitals, I wouldn't bother. THey'll send you a link to the digi pics anyway and they will be of better quality.
