**** UPDATE ...... UPDATE ........ UPDATE ****

Ok Ladies - tomorrow night is the night. Here are the details for tomorrow night's GTG.

Date & Time: 10/6/06 at 6:30 pm.
FASHION 40
202 West 40th Street (between 7th & 8th Ave.)
212.221.3628

**Reservation is under 'LESLIE'
**2 for 1 drink specials between 5:30 - 8:00 pm.

You are welcome to bring a guest (or 2), but I need a final head count so please let me know if you are coming by posting here or sending me an FM. They will not seat us if a majority of our party isn't there by 6:30 pm so please let me know.

Hi everyone. As some of you may recall, I posted some time ago about having an '07 GTG and a Latina Brides GTG. I've received quite a few messages about both so it looks like we're combining both to have one big FABU LIW GTG in NYC. I've been FM'ing back and forth with quite a few of you (thanks for all of your ideas and input), so here are the details we have thus far for everyone else to see:

DATE: Friday, October 6, 2006 in NYC.
VENUE: Here are the three finalists .........

CHARRASCARIA PLATAFORMA (although it is a bit pricey)
FASHION 40 (the crowd favorite)
CARMINE'S in Times Square (great locale for a crowd like ours with family style food - YUM!)
THE TIME LOUNGE in the TIME HOTEL in TImes Square - great appe-teezers, good music, yummy drinks in the heart of NYC.

Many have also suggested eating at Carmines and having drinks at Fashion 40 afterward just to cap off the evening.

Either way, the GTG is in full swing so post here if you can make it or FM me. I will periodically update this thread with info. but please feel free to post any other suggestions for restaurants/lounges, bars,etc. as we are still undecided on the exact venue for the evening.

Looking forward to making this a GTG to remember.

I would LOVE to have it on Monday night (I'm all for the free drinks too ), but it's a difficult night for many people so I think it will have to be Friday. Besides, NYC on a Friday night is jumping. With the large group of women we're coming with, people will probably think we're the new contenders for 'America's Next Top Model.'

From the feedback I've received, many people want the GTG to be a Girl's Night Out. Some FH's aren't really into the 'LIW' chat thing and wouldn't want to come anyway, while others are totally comfortable with it. I'd like to hear what you all think which is why I posted the questions above.

Either way, we're going to have a ball.

Prinses, this is probably what I'll look like after a few drinks anyway.

Yeahhhhhh free drinks... Maybe we should add a poll...

Free drinks Monday... or pay for drinks Friday....

Honestly... I would go if it was a friday... but would prefer a day during the week...

I'm only the messenger chicas - you guys decide when you want the day to be. Most of the girls who have FM'ed me wanted a Friday night in the city which is why I chose the October 6th date.

That following Monday is Columbus Day and many people may be traveling or coming back from traveling.

I may be able to get us into a place on 35th Street that has great drinks and they offer free appetizers for parties of 10 or more. How does that sound? Here's a peek.

ETA... that place looks cute... and it is also midtown close to Penn for all the girls traveling in from LI...

I would love for FH to go, but I doubt that he will be in NYC that weekend. Is it ok if I bring my MOH?

Friday night is better for me since I will be traveling up from Philly to meet all of you wonderful girls. I most likely will not be able to make it on Monday (It's not considered a holiday when you are a doc ) But I will definately be there if its on Friday!!!

LOVE the place.......kdecamp (kristin) & I are going to take the LIRR in after work ...is there a time yet? anyone else want to take the LIRR out of RVC with us?

Glad you're coming Gina.

Ok ladies. Just wanted to give you a heads up. I stopped by Fashion 40 today while on my way to see a printer about our invites. The place is great and when I spoke to the party planner, she said we would be well taken care of. They actually do serve appetizers and we would have a little section just for us (probably upstairs).

I say Fashion 40 is the perfect place for our get together. The time still looks to be between 5:30 pm - 6:00 pm, but I can always make it 6:30 pm if people need a little more time to get into the City.

And due to popular demand, the date is still going to be October 6th so it looks like Friday Night is definitely Girls Night Out.
