10'er Xpost: Did anyone buy their rings from....

The Zales outlet in Riverhead?

I found a wedding band today there that would go great with my e-ring, and it was a wonderful price.

Just wondering if anyone's had any experiences, good or bad.

Laura I bought DH's wedding band there. They were super helpful, and I used the coupon in the Tanger booklet to get an extra discount on it. It was an amazing deal. Plain 14K white gold band. They happened to just have his size right there! The only thing I don't know is the quality of their stones...This was a very plain piece of jewelry I got. I can say that customer service and everything was fantastic there. Good luck!

laura - check zales website too...b/c as long as the ring at the outlet wasnt actually in the clearance section, they carry the same stock (at the same prices) in the regular zales store!

i saw a band i *might* like...but when i asked the price it was the same price as what i saw in the mall....

so then they explained that the outlet just had a larger clearance inventory....so if its not clearance, go to the mall or look online too!

also, check out gordon's. another jewelry store owned by zales...lots of stuff is the same, but they do have some unique pieces (my right-hand ring is from there).

Allegra - Is it true that if you buy something at the outlet, you can't have it serviced at the retail stores?

No, I don't think that's true. However they do have to send the rings out for polishing! That's what they told Mike when he went to get it buffed or whatever. That they had to send it out.
