12 days left!

So I haven't been on here in a while but I wanted to update before the big day. I'm almost down to the single digits and as nerve wracking as this time is I am excited!

I had my surprise shower on 11/17, I turned 27 on 11/25, and my bachelorette party was 11/30, so it has been crazy hectic these past few weeks. This past weekend, FH and I went over seating charts with both our parents and yesterday we paid the florist, paid the DJ, and met with our photographer so go over some last-minute details. We also checked out our venue last night since it is now decorated for the holidays and it is beautiful!! I will be putting up pics at some point today from everything.

However, it has not been all sunshine and roses etc. I found out last Friday that FH is being let go from his job. This Friday is his last day, which is Friday the 13th (how ironic). We're also going for our marriage license this Friday as well. I have to say if this is a test from a higher being, then I really hope we pass. I have not been acting like myself since FH told me the news. I am also planning to go to the Department of Labor since I think that company has been giving him a lot of hell and he does his job well. I think the excuses they have given him are crap and there is no need for him to be let go, especially after he got a very good probation period review. And they knew about the wedding too, so for them to do this right now is even more horrible. We had a really bad fight last night and I had a mental breakdown and we've talked it over and we're working to move forward but with this all coming up all at once it's very hard for my thoughts to not keep re-playing this over and over again. I just have to try and keep moving forward with these next 12 days and focus more on the wedding, not the idiots at FH's job.

We're date twins! I'm crossing my fingers for you and your FH, we're going through a crazy amount right now too but nothing like being let go - I think you have a great perspective and when you focus on your wedding and your future all the other a**holes from his work will fade away.

Hang in there. My DH was laid off last year due to budget cuts. Its awful to go thru, especially planning a wedding. Its great that you are focusing on the wedding. I'm sure it will be beautiful! Hopefully he will get back on his feet soon.

Thanks everyone! We're working through it and the good part about it is he will get his last paycheck right before the wedding. My main concern was starting off married life like that but the bright side is, he will get unemployment until he can get back on his feet. Plus we might be looking into moving out of state after our honeymoon in Feb. I just wish they had not done this at the worst possible time. Oh well. Another good thing is now he can take care of the apartment and the dogs while I'm at work lol. I try to see the bright side of things but when things just get thrown at you it's hard not to get caught up in the panic of the moment. Not worth ruining our special day over though so that's how I'm looking at it. His company may not have cared but I do. Plus they weren't treating him right anyway.

Oh man my heart goes out to you guys. Thankfully he didn't lose his job in the middle of wedding planning, ya know? Just focus on the wedding and after that, you can let reality hit you! Enjoy this once in a life time experience
