I will have a cup of coffee in the morning and read my newspaper like I used to, before the Web.
I will eat breakfast with a knife and fork and not with one hand typing.
I will get dressed before noon.
I will make an attempt to clean the house, wash clothes, and plan dinner before even thinking of the Web.
I will sit down and write a letter to those unfortunate few friends and family that are Web-deprived.
I will call someone on the phone who I cannot contact via the Web.
I will read a book...if I still remember how.
I will listen to those around me and their needs and stop telling them to turn the TV down so I can hear the music on the Web.
I will not be tempted during TV commercials to check for email.
I will try and get out of the house at least once a week, if it is necessary or not.
I will remember that my bank is not forgiving if I forget to balance my checkbook because I was too busy on the Web.
Last, but not least, I will remember that I must go to bed sometime ... and the Web will always be there tomorrow!

I have, at one point in my life, been VERY guilty of these.
I’d keep my computer on all day and yes, check it during commercials. Until I got smart enough to rearrange my living room so I could sit or lay on my couch and still see the monitor & the TV at the same time. At home low point in my life I had a makeshift table for my monitor set up by my bed and the keyboard had a slot next to it so that I only had to reach over when I woke up to turn on the computer and then just sit up to type. The TV was on the dresser in front of me and the remote on top of the monitor. I can’t BELIEVE I was so lazy back then!
I used to use my TV’s sleeper function to wake me up at 4am so I could check the web for the status of an online game I was playing. I’d also run home during my hour lunch to check the web. 15mins to home, 30mins at home, 15mins back to work. Back in the days when I worked at an office who ran Windows 3.0, no net.
heh Shameful.. I was a chic computer geek. I had my car, my apt, my cat and my computer. Life was good.
