Meeting with officiant next week & i need to finish up odds and ends this week and my final fitting/pick up of dress is next wens 4 days before wedding. EEEKs!
Anyway wanted to drop a very good tip to all you out there. When I went to the hall I had handed him a copy of the seating chart that i recreated on the computer with a layout of the room he gave me but with all the stuff i needed setup so he knew where it went. I also handed him a chart of the table count per table and who is on that table so he knew not just how many but who was sitting there. I also took pictures of all the DIY stuff and all items that needed to be setup of how it should look (if it got messed up during the drop off) and wrote notes and instructions so it made things easier for the day of. the catering hall THANKED ME and wished everyone did this. Everything typed out and very to the point and easy to follow.
SO i think if you have a lot of elements and you don't have a wedding planner I suggest you do the same for your hall.
I also made a checklist of items that are specialized that needed to be addressed that day such as my extra pint glasses to be put at the bar for guinness to be served in, irish soda bread at cocktail hour, etc.
So i'm getting pretty set and so excited now!
