Ok...what is wrong with people? They actually wrote to me asking if it will bring the cost of the wedding up. UMMMMM>>>DUH!!!! The RSVP date was 9/10!!!!!

I had someone send the RSVP card back 5 days before! Tables were done, and handed in already! Some people are just clueless! It was very frustrating

Well..I hope it wasn't mean but I told her we gave our head count in...because YES it will bring up the cost of the wedding. She's going to come for the ceremony and cocktail hour. I mean seriously people...you would think she didn't get married herself

To be perfectly honest, that was kind of mean...I would've let her come and enjoyed the fact that she wanted to attend in the first place. So what if it cost you an additional plate? You invited far more than said 'yes' so you had to budget for a larger group in the first place.

I'm sorry, but I think you were a little too hard on the guest...IMHO.

It's really frustrating when you are trying to get things finalized and people keep calling you making all these changes.

Agreed!

We had stragglers RSVP'ing right up until 3 days before the wedding! Seriously, don't sweat the small stuff (and this is the small stuff) , and just enjoy these last few days before your wedding.

My cousin did a negative RSVP 4 days before my wedding!!! Plus I had a family member show up who wasn't even invited! LOL

I don't think what you did was rude. Its common courtesy to respond on time when you are invited somewhere. There is no reason you should have to change all your seating arrangements and make phone calls for this one person...if you don't want to.

Same here. You can't just 'uninvite' a guest. Even though it is late, she did RSVP. You should accept it.

I'm dealing with someone who did rsvp on time, but he wrote 2 then he called FH and said its only 1 now then yesterday he called back and said its 2 agian!! i already did my seating chart based on his 1 answer i have to reagrange everything for this 1 guest now!!!!

Did you just assume if someone hadn't RSVP'd on time that they were a no? If so that was a silly assumption. You should have called all people with outstanding RSVP's to check with them. I would never just assume someone was a no if they didn't RSVP on time.

I think you were a little harsh as well.

Was she late to RSVP, yes....but you also have two weeks left.
I think you should have been a little more accomodating, IMO.

kind of agreeing here too. i mean i understand you were irritated that she didn't RSVP on time--but it's not like she told you the nite before, she said it 2 wks in advance. you INVITED her to your wedding--and when she maybe was finally able to re-arrange her schedule or whatever her reason was for not RSVP'ing on time--you tell her she's gonna cost you $$ and she can't come? i know you are very stressed out--but that might have been a bit much. sorry. JMHO.

WHY would you invite her then when she RSVP's late, tell her she can't come to the reception? That is mean. You invited her in the first place! She should have been included in the cost from the beginning!
