15%, 20% or 30%

I have seen different stats everywhere.. for those of you who are closer, or already married, what percentage of people did NOT come to the wedding?

I am at the point where I am excited if a friend is telling me they are moving across the country.

They usually say 20% but in my case I have had more than 20% respond no.

I just started getting responses yesterday and they were all 'yes.' We invited about 235 and hoping for under 200, but more than 175. For us, 15% would be 200, 20% would be 188 and 30% would be 165. I'll keep you posted as we get more responses.

I think you will get more yes's at first. People who say no will wait until the last minute.

I only had a total of 5 people not show at my wedding. Two couples and one guy.

30% + I had 15 people come down with the flu the day before. IT was ok with me!

I had invited 275 and had about 175...so what's that over 35% no's. We had invited a lot of people from out of state many of which were older so there was no way they were coming. Plus my dad invited a lot of people (like 20) from work at the last minute so hardly any of them came (he gave me the list about 2 weeks before the RSVP date was on the invites. We had expected around 200-210 but wound up with 175 - so you just never know. Luckily our min was 150! I know someone who invited a little over 200 and got close to 140...also the out of state thing - it is so variable.

OMG that makes me nervous!!! we have 300 on our list, want no more than 240 (then they will have to go to rectangular tables which i dont want) so we are praying for at least 20% no rate!
