1.5 months away from the wedding- Is it too late to look into Dance Lessons?
I think FH & I really need a couple of lessons for our first dance. Do you guys think it's too late for us to start looking for places?
Does anyone recommend a dance studio in Queens/ Nassau?

YOu have plenty of time!!! post an email on the Vendors board, I don't have a recommendation for you but I suspect you can EASILY have a beautiful dance with 3-4 lessons!!!!

Yes, I'm going to post on VHB right now as well.
I'd still love to hear recommendations from brides though- I'd feel a little better about the place if a bride was recommending it.

I think you have enough time for at least the basics. If you go once per week thats a good 5 or six lessons. We did it and everyone raved about our first dance. It was great! Good Luck

hey date twin, we just started looking into places to start either 3 or 5 lessons (depending on time issues) before the wedding. We are probably going to go with a place in Manhattan called Wedding Day Dance.

we're 2 weeks out and fh says to me last night how about we go for dance lessons? i'm like didn't i ask u about this months ago and u were like nah we don't them?? hes like we'll now that its closer we should go. so we're going to try to go for 3 lessons sometime next week.

Ok, I really hope you do have time, but I have to tell you it took us a lot longer than that. We started three month prior to our wedding and had our last (11th lesson) the day before our wedding. It could be that we simply suck and just required more lessons. I just know it took us a long time just to remember the choreograph danced.
Having said that though I would recommend private lessons that lasts at least 1hr. and if possible go twice a week at least some of the weeks you have left.
