My sister just realized that she is not the only maid of honor, and she is insulted, so she is refusing to sit on the alter.... My father tells me not to be upset... so the question is, wouldnt you be pissed?????

First off...I'm so very sorry...I can't even imagine a Sister creating so much heartache and drama 16 hours before such an important day of your life...over such a rediculous thing. It has to hurt, but try your best to draw you attention away from the chaos she is creating and onto you and your FH... She's being very immature and needs to be ignored.

Thanx.... i need all the mental support i can get... yet my father told me that if she is not on the altar she will be finding a new place to live.... THEY ARE PISSED... It drives me nuts because she does not want to sit next to her because she is mad at her!!! So you are holding your petty issues to the max at MY wedding... Screw her.. I dont need her

Re: 16 hours left
DW best friend at the time did this.
She was gonna split maid of honar between 2 friends. 1 friend said yes, the other said i'm not sharing nothing. As of that day years ago, we never talked to her since. To continue the story, the other best friend couldn't handle the duites and drop out of the wedding and our lives. To this day (almost a year now) we don't know what happen that she couldn't be friends or talk about it. She wasn't invited to the wedding...
not sure why but girls get all silly over these weddings.. you find out who is true or not.
you have more of a problem since your wedding is today. try not to think of it and go with the flow.
Its your day, your way so go out and enjoy it.

Re: 16 hours left
I'm sure she'll come around. How did she not know she wasn't the only maid of honor throughout this process?? My BF made me & her sister MOH, but I actually told her to just keep her sister with that role - but she insists that it's both of us.
Enjoy your day no matter what - don't let this bother you. It's really her problem, not yours.

Yikes! Well it is nice that our dad is backing you up on this! Try not to let it bother you. If you don't make a big deal about it maybe she will realize on her own that she is being an idiot and will come around. Have a WONDERFUL wedding!

Re: 16 hours left
i agree with just ignoring it... she sounds like she is an attention hog.... and this is getting her the attention/drama she wants.... i would just ignore it, enjoy your day getting ready, etc..... and let her do what she wants- its her loss that she won't be up next to her sister on her wedding day..... i know this is horrible of her to do, but also keep in mind that your wedding, while its important, is ONE DAY- and sisters/families are forever... its not worth loosing that over something stupid involving one day..... ENJOY YOUR WEDDING DAY!!!

Re: 16 hours left
Ah there is always someone who makes it about them. If she upset for those reasons, then she accepted your invitation to be your MOH for all the wrong reasons - not to be at your side, but to be an attention seeker. This day is about you and your FH.
If I listed all of the comments from BOTH sides of our families that lad me to believe that someone ELSE should have the spotlight, Ron and Liz would need a whole other site!

Oh sorry to hear that you are going through this now....yes, she'll get over it....
My younger sister is also upset that she and I are both MOH for our other sister (but at least she has more time to deal with it).
Good Luck to you and have a wonderful wedding. Congrats

Re: 16 hours left
Breathe, smile, think about your FH, think about your vows, smile, breathe, repeat.
LET IT GO!
Whether your sister decides to sit on the altar or not, it's up to her. She's the one that will regret it years from now when looking at pictures and video.
I had a BM drop out the morning of my wedding. I know about girls being dramatic. All I did, and all I could do was speak with her and leave it up to God. She ended up coming around, but had she not, I was mentally prepared and would have been fine.
There's nothing further you can do at this point. Don't take it personal, don't let it bother you and move on. It's not about HER and don't let her make it so.
