17 Days To Go! - Jenn & Brenda?

I think everyone else is freaking me out because I'm too calm. We went to do final table placement and my mom was nuts about it. Her more than me. It'll hit me soon though. I want to do so many things and there is so little time leeft....i have a second fitting on May 11 (cutting it close), so that's what I'm most nervous about as they still have much to do on my dress, namely, sleeves. No one can believe they waited so long, but there was no time for a fitting between April 20 and May 11 considering when I get home from work....ok, rambling. Maybe I am more nervous than I thought......

I don't think you should settle for less than exactly what you want. You only et married once and you want to feel special. you don't sound so sure of your decision, so check websites and ask others to look around for you. The women on this site will ALWAYS give you honest feedback and I can bet someone here has looked at the site you are considering.

I'm holding up. It's so hard being so far away from my family. I can't be excited with them. Luckily I have some great friends at work and they are excited for me. On Friday they took me out for my bachelorette party. It was a Drag show. The men dressed up like Diana Ross, Cyndi Lauper and some others. It was a blast.

I'm stressing out about the guest list because we have to pay for a minimum of 50 and we only have 42. And there's only 18 days left.

I go for my second fitting on the 12th. My girls are getting there's this week. I have all my vendors now and have to tpye out a payment schedule, who gets cash, checks, credit cards.

Periwinkle dresses and mine is ivory. I think I'm going to go with Purple and cream roses and maybe add a little dusty rose color. I have to go to a florist and see the different colors of roses. But it will be all roses. I like that look.

We spent about $15k for our wedding, which we paid for entirely ourselves -and NONE was on credit (The 15k does not include flowers and my dress, which my parents paid for). I got exactly what I wanted and was frugal in certain areas to afford splurging in others. Some might have considered it extravagant, others might have thought it was simple. What is important is that it was OUR wedding and we thought it was beautiful and enjoyed every minute of it.

Not to infringe on Brenda's party, but there are a few places in NYC with Drag show entertainment -- one is Lucky Cheng's at 24 First Ave between 1st & 2nd Sts. (212-941-0479) and there's another place called Lipps downtown also. (I have Zagats in front of me)I don't know where Lipps is but my landlady's son took her there for her birthday and she had a blast!

My bachelorette party (12 people) was at Yankee Stadium this past Saturday! We had the best time (Yankees won!) and then went downtown for dinner and drinking. It was a long day, but excellent! My man of honor was the planner and things went great! Just another suggestion....good luck!
