a friend of mine and her hubby went away for the weekend to martha's vineyard. you could also do: block island, NYC, the poconos, hilton head, connecticut, boston, bar harbor (maine) or even canada-- quebec is like a mini france... SO romantic.

for us, when we get there, i think we are going to do a cruise b/c we wanted to for our HM but our plans changed--so we are eager to cruise out of NYC to bermuda!!!

We'll be celebrating at my cousin's wedding next year - not same day, but same weekend, so we'll get to relive what our day was like with my cousin and her new DH.

we went on a cruise to bermuda a few years ago - it was on Celebrity and left out of NY- we had such a great time! The food was great on Celebrity- but, I wouldn't use them again- it seemed to mainly be senior citizens on the boat, I don't know if that was due to who they market to, or whether it was b/c it was early in May when prices are cheaper. Also the bars on the boat weren't very happening......but Bingo was....yeah the seniors definitely had control of that boat!! The next cruise we do will probably be with Carnival.

We are going to make it a tradition to take a vacation and go somewhere every year on our anniversary

you're so funny... the ink hasn't even dried on your marriage license!!! lol

Looks like I'll have off for Veterans Day either the Friday or Monday of every one of our Anniversary weekends, so hopefully my FH and I can go away. I think I want the 5 year mark to be Hawaii, but maybe next year, we'll just do our favorite little Bed and Breakfast in CT or go down to AC, which we also really love.

We'll most likely go into the city or something like that. We can't go away because next year we won't be on vacation from 'school' (work)

But next summer - who knows!

Oh I have no idea what we'll do. We will have a 1 month old at our anniversary so who knows what either of us will feel like doing...chances are good for a weekend away or simply an elegant night out alone. Besides, I'm holding out for the big years for something awesome.

Re: 1st ANNIVERSARY....

We celebrated our 1 year anniversary last weekend (21st) in Rhode Island. My DH and I had never been to Newport, so we booked our weekend to stay at a B&B. Being the excessively detailed freak that I am, I had to make sure we picked a place that had a fireplace, jacuzzi, and the best reviews from travelers.

Thankfully, the place was beautiful and clean. And Newport was very relaxing and romantic.
