1st dance question w/ poll

Are you dancing your whole dance just you and fh, or are you inviting your guests out halfway through?

We're going to dance the whole song by ourselves. I figure it's our song, our dance, and it's one of the only times all day that it will be just he and I :)

Plus, I think it's awkward to have the bridal party dance together with strangers who aren't their sig other.

We invited guests onto the floor. We were self concious. It was better this way.

ETA: We did NOT have the BP dance together- they dance with their SO's or whoever they wanted... or not at all if they didn't want to.

We will invite our guests to dance with us towards the very end of the song....and the BP can dance with whoever they want - most of our BP are attached to people not in our BP.

As much as I thought it was rude at a wedding not too long ago that the bride and groom didn't invite the BP to join....now that it's my turn, I want to do the same thing

I will invite others...I totally dont want to have people staring at us all that time. ALso, I want the people to know that they are not gonna be sitting on the sidelines all night. From the very start, they b etter be up there dancing. lol

I think it depends on how long your dance is ... Typically they are just a little over 2 minutes or so! But its YOUR day so do as you please!

Our song is 5 minutes long so I'm thinking that after like 3 minutes of it we will invite our guests to join us on the dance floor.

Yes, otherwise guests get antsy and lose interest (as awful as that sounds) especially if its just swaying lol

We are having people join in. First it's going to be the two of us for the first verse, then the BP will join, then everyone else. We don't like so much attention and we are both terrible dancers!

We danced the whole song ourselves. We only get one first dance at our wedding and we wanted to have that moment for ourselves.

We did though have a 'Good Luck' dance immediately after our first dance where all the guests were invited on the dancefloor to dance with us.

It's bad enough to everyone stare at us for the ceremony, I'm inviting them up as soon as my DJ would allow it. Part of me doesn't want to do the dance alone at all, but I know it makes for a better photo op. Too shy!
