Are any of you guys doing your 1st dance as soon as your entrance is done... Like as soon as you hit the dance floor it turns into your 1st dance? If so, how are the flow of things after? Brides who have done this... Can you give me a run down start (all entrances) to finish (opening the dance floor.)

yup i am doing that! after everyone walks in the dj will announce its time for the first dance... ive seen where they dont do the 'first dance' till after dinner and it doesnt make sence to me because its not their first dance! lol

Yes, because we want the party to start right away. Most weddings I have been to lately seem to do it this way. Otherwise, no one will really want to dance until we get out there, right?

We did this. AS soon as we made out entrance, my maitre'd took my bouquet..and the DJ announced we were having our first dance as husband and wife..then we thew in another song for everyone to join us. Right after that we did the parent dances... we wanted all that out of the way in the beginning...we didn't do a bouqet/garter toss we did an anniversary dance and they just threw that in before the cake, had all married couples on the dance floor... everything flowed great!
