1st Dance Song

We have not been able to agree on a first dance song so FH suggested the song Bubbly by Colbie Caillat. I really like the song but I don't know if its appropriate as our wedding song so I'm going to you all for advice!!

If you are worried about it being appropriate then maybe you should continue to look and you may find something even better. Ultimately you should choose what makes you and your FH happy. Don't worry about what anyone else thinks. Good luck!

Don't listen to what people think...but let me say this IMO...that song will be gone soon. It's great i love it! but I think in the future down the line you will have a heck of a time tracking it down to play for your kids...

See FH isn't very typical and he doesn't want a song a lot of other people us so this is so not typical and I like it I actually downloaded it before it became very popular!

the song is kinda cute, but i didnt really listen to all the lyrics... what exactly is inappropriate?
just listening to it, it seems ok for a first dance, but that's only if you and dh REALLY like it. remember it's a song that should bring up memories whenever u listen to it, even 50 years from now!

I know its easier said than done, but don't worry so much about what other people think!
In ten years 99% of your guests will not remember what your first dance song was, but you will! So it only matters if you like it!

actually, we never had a song either :) we just picked a song we both liked that wasnt 'too' lovey bcuz we're not that type of couple.
we also liked you and me by lifehouse but there was no special reason at y we chose eight days a week besides liking it.
don't worry, it's ok not to 'have a song'

i think the song bubly is cute, but just make sure u guys both love the song and arent just 'ehh' about it

The other thing I was thinking about was we will dance to a song on our wedding day but how often after that do you actually do anything with that song you picked? I know I still don't know what song was my parents & I can't remember my sisters..so my point is as much as I want it to be special is it really that important? I hope I don't offend anyone by saying that JMO

see, i never really thought it was that important either but i was telling my co-worker that my two choices were between you and me by lifehouse and eight days a week by the beatles, and she was the one that told me to pick a song that when u hear it come on, it'll bring back memories of your wedding and t doesnt matter if no one else remembers it, it's about u and ur husband remembering it

I know and I really like this song and every since it came out I thought about it as a wedding song so I think I might just go with it! I know its coming so fast at this point I just want to pick something and be done with it!!!!
