i really want my first dance with FH to be just us. My sister regrets that her DJ talked almost the entire way through their song and then the BP joined in. But i get nervous that 2 minutes with all eyes on us will be like 'ahhhh!'. What did you guys do?

use the second song with bridal party.. you are in control of dj...make sure you provide dj with list of eveyrthing you want. (ex. 1st dance, quite as possible, i would have him comment once or twice when getting dipped or somthing).

i'm kind of leaning towards having people join in more towards the end of the song..i don't really like being the center of attention..but the dj won't talk (hopefully )

I love being the center of attention....it's MY day (FH doesn't like when I say that) but our first dance will be separate then BM will have their own other song to dance to with us.

I don't really relish the thought of all eyes being on me for the entirety of a first song, but it is my wedding day! I guess it can't be helped!! AND, we spent lots of time learning this whol;e choreographed routine to our song - so I guess we are doing at alone!

Its OUR first dance, the BP and parents will join us for the second dance.
This will be the only day I can talk my FI into dancing so I am going to milk it for all its worth and keep him to myself for the 1st dance. Everyone can join in after that.

Actually we spoke with the bandleader at long length about this. I would just make sure that you let your DJ know exactly what you want for your first dance and make sure that he doesn't talk during your dance or invite the BP or everyone else to join you.
We are having our first dance right away and after about two minutes dancing--our song is about four minutes long, we are going to have the bandleader ask for everyone to join us.
