1st Dress Fitting and Found a Minister!!!
Hi all! I am slowly becoming addicted to this website. I am so excited cause I finally found a pastor this week to officiate my wedding!! I go to a big church in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and I was getting nervous trying to find someone in Long Island. I already had my whole wedding planned, but no minister!!!!!! That is kind of important. Anyway, I found someone awesome the first day I called around. I was getting worried that I was going to have to get married by someone named 'Captain Jack'!
I also tried on my dress last Saturday. I had bought it 6 yrs. ago when I was engaged before and the guy called it off. It was my perfect princess dress, so I would never consider finding another one since it was only tried on one time and then hung in my closet. Also, this is wierd but when I looked at the date I bought it, I discovered it was on my current fiance's 25th birthday. So, it is fate after all.
I was a little stressed because I thought it might be yellow. Guess what? It was still in perfect condition. No aging whatsoever. Glad I did not buy a satin dress!! Those are the worst for yellowing.
I felt so beautiful!! My mom got teary. I was just a little concerned though that I could not get the zipper up the whole way in the back. I am trying to lose a few pounds. They said not to worry, that they can fix that and it will fit like a glove.
I got a new tiara too. My old one is gorgeous, but the veil is attached. I will still wear it to the ceremony, but decided to get a different one for the reception. I found one that is perfect!!! The ladies at the bridal shop told me I should cut my $300 tiara to get the veil off. Oh my!! I am so not cutting something that pretty.
My mom took pics, but I cannot post. FH might see!!!!!!!! I am on his computer right now.
