1st dress fitting was horrible!! Vent long

I had my first dress fitting last week at Paradise Bridal. I had not seen my dress since I last purchase it in June & I was so excited. That quickly went away when I got there.
My mom & SIL came w/me & no one at the store helped me put my dress on!
Then the seamstress came in & didnt say a word to me & starts sticking me with a million pins and goes on and on about how I need a strapless padded bra b/c i have no boobs!
She was so rude and rushed the whole thing! She made me a 7 pt bustle which now looking at the pics makes me look like I have a huge a**!

I came home & cried. Not only am I stressed about the wedding coming up so quickly, I know have to worry about dealing with rude seamstresses! UGH!
I dont know what to do- I want to call & tell them I dont like my bustle & to hold off on it.
Is is bad if I request a different seamstress?

NOOOOOOOOO it is YOUR WEDDING DRESS!!

id be on the phone already explaining the negative experience and nicely asking for another seamstress that you'd be more comfortable with!!

the seamstress is the most important part at this point!!!

no dont feel bad!!! if you have to u should even take it somewhere else besides the salon to have it altered the way YOU want it. you shouoldnt have to deal with their rudeness.

Don't be scared to be asertive. Its your wedding dress so they should be working for u, not insulting u and being rude.
Call them and tell them you are going to come in again and do this all over w/another seamstress and not to do anything to ur dress until then

I think you should call them right away. Don't worry about making them upset---they made you upset and you're the customer! This is your wedding and you want everything to be perfect. Don't settle because of a ****** seamstress.

call them up asap. it's your money. I have heard things like this and to be honest, I wouldn't go there.

Hi Ladies-
So i talked to my mom about it & I am calling first thing today and going to pay off the balance of the dress & go to a seamstress elsewhere! I was only there on Thurs so I cant imagine they did anything to it.

I would call them, my seamstres also told me I had no boobs. But she was very niceafter she put abunch of pins in the dress she told me what she was going to do.

dont feel bad at all!!! theres is no reason you shuold be crying at your first fitting! defi itely call and complain and ask to deal with someone else!! sorry she made you feel like poo

UGH! Seriously what is wrong with people???!!!!

you did the right thing, they clearly don't feel like customer service is a top priority, so you should 100% take your business elsewhere!

I'm so sorry you had that experience. One of my coworkers who got married 1 1/2yr ago actually had the same experience with a seamstress from PB. If I were you I would definitely call them up and tell them to hold off on any alterations, it's your wedding and you have to be happy. I actually have an excellent seamstress that I go to if you would like. I'm not to far from patchogue!

I am so sorry you are feeling this way but YOU HAVE EVERY RIGHT to request another seamstress that's going to be patient and have some sort of customer service training. It is your wedding and your wedding dress and if the person working on it, isn't even interested in you then whose to say she will be in your dress. I would say call in. Also, tell the people at the store that you need help when you come in. A wedding dress was not created to be put on alone, that's ridiculous!

My mother was recently remarried and got a gown there and had a horrible experience too (and in fact after talking to some people they equally had bad experiences). So they bad news is - this is normal for them. The good news is - you're not alone and at the end of the day everything turned out fine for my mother. What you must be with them is in control and demand what you need/want otherwise they'll take advantage and do as they please. Go there or call as frequently as you want in order to be sure what you asked for is happening.

You should definitely ask for a new seamstress, and explain what she did. I cant believe she treated you, the customer, like that. HORRIBLE!! You don't need that or deserve that. Ask for someone else.

I'm SO sorry to hear you're going through this. Definitely call ASAP and see if you can switch seamstresses. Can you FM me with who you had? My dress is from Paradise, also!
