1st fitting question

I got a card in the mail today telling me that my dress was in and that I should call to make an appointment for my first fitting. My wedding is not until February. I was just wondering when other brides went for their first fitting. It would be nice to try it on again soon, so I can see how my veil and shoes look with it. I'm still confused about jewelry.

1st fitting question

Hi! I'm getting married in July so I might not be too much help b/c I don't know when you should go for your first fitting. But I think it might be a good idea, to go in and see your dress and make sure it is the color (white, off-white), size, etc. that you ordered. It probably is exactly what you ordered, but it's best to check it out now, so you can fix anything that needs to be fixed. Then go in for your first fitting when the place suggests you go in. I don't know if this helps, but that's what one place told me to do with my dress and my bridesmaid's dresses. It can't hurt-unless you live far from the place. Plus it might be exciting to see YOUR dress- this one was mailed to the store just for you!

1st fitting question

You should definately go in and try your dress on. This way you can make sure there are no major issues ahead of time. It depends on the bridal store you are using, but most first fittings are not until about 6 weeks or so before the wedding day.

Jamie is right...

You should definitely go and make sure they have the *right* dress. Trying it on will be exciting, and you'll want to see how shoes/veil and undergarments look with the dress. Remember that you need to bring the bra that you plan to wear on your wedding day to your first fitting. Also, unless you lose or gain a significant amount of weight, I don't think it's too soon to go for first fitting. My wedding was in June, and my first fitting was in March. Good luck!
