1st unhappy purchase

1st unhappy purchase

Ok, so I had decided to get custom napkins created, along with matches. We all know how you can't really go by colors on the computer, but the knot was having a really really good sale.

My BM's are in 'spice' (orange-pink) and they will have yellow sunflowers so I was using that as my color scheme. They don't have the 'spice' color or any other similar color so I was going with a cream color for these. Well the ivory matchbooks look fine, but the buttercream napkins are way darker (much more yellow) than they looked online.. I thought they would be more of a cream!

I know it's only a little detail and most people probably won't notice... but it keeps sticking in my head... maybe if I can find a plate or something else in spice to keep the napkins on or with it would balance out the very yellow..

Any ideas? They are custom done so I'm not sure I can really complain to the manufacturer, as I did technically pick the color.. I don't really want to have to reorder them.

sorry to hear that... but thanks for the heads up. I was thinking of buying them at the next big sale.

I wouldn't say don't order them.. They are of good quality and the ivory matchbooks came out great. I'm sure if I did ivory napkins they would be fine... I just would be cautious of colors you aren't sure about.

I kind of have the same problem. I ordered my napkins in two different colors. Half of them I ordered red with silver writing (came out great) and the other half I ordered white with maroon writing. I chose the maroon writing because it looked more like what I wanted for my redish color than real true red.

When I got them, the maroon was more like a pinkish red. Not perfect, but honestly, they're napkins. People are going to wipe the mouths and cover their drinks with them and then throw them out. I showed my mother, and she saw the color difference and also said not to really worry about it, because most people probably won't even realize it.

You could also just give them to the bartender to keep behind the bar and give out with each individual glass. That way they're not just sitting out around everything else.

I'm sorry you have this problem. Honestly, I'msure more people will think its really cool that you have personalized napkins and be more interested in that than the colors of the napkins.
