Im really considering doing this because I have a substantial b list and I dont want to worry about having to send invites and the rsvp date is weirdly in like a week or even later. and I dont want to have to order more at the last minute and chance that i cant get them. So, what does everyone think about getting two sets of invites? Do you see any problems occuring with ordering or anything else that I may not be thinking of? The a list invites with the earlier date and the b list with the later. I would get like 25 of the b lists. I plan on sending my initial invitations a little earlier then the standard.

It sounds like an ok idea to me. Will you have anytime over lapping the two RSVP dates where A and B list people would be able to say yes?

You don't need 2 different invites. Just 2 different response cards. Those are probably a lot cheaper so if you don't use them it's not as much money.

Right right thats what I meant actually to say. I was thinking invites because I have to do seperate orders, like an order of 100 invites with all the other stuff and then an order of 25 with all the other stuff because otherwise I cant just order the response cards but thats no big deal, I guess

Nope, I was planning on making the first RSVP date be March 1 and then send out the second batch right after March 1st with a rsvp date of April 1. I guess I would just have to call around to any stragglers if they didnt respond by Marfch 1

I'm DIY'ing my invites so it's a little easier to just print new cards on a computer, but this is exactly what i was going to do!!! One date due 6 weeks before the wedding and the second date 2 weeks before the wedding.
I may run into a little trouble with the florist as she wants to know the number of tables 4 weeks before, but by then I could probably just over estimate by one table. I can always put that centerpiece on the card table or somthing if it is extra.
As I got a certain % of 'no's' with the 1st wave of invites, i'd start sending the 2nd ones.
