2 down, 1 to go

Pre-cana classes that is! We are 2/3 of the way through. Tonight they had a psychologist come in and speak with us. He also works with FDNY and NYPD for stress management and is a marriage counselor as well. He was actually really good. He was thorough, entertaining, and a great speaker. And the best part, almost everything he was saying was more of a personal level. He talked all about communication and how to handle and solve fights in the relationship, and a lot of what he said was dead on. I *think* FH enjoyed this one too.

So one more class next week then we get our certificates and it's one more thing to cross off the list!

Ummm $300 for pre-cana???????? No way. My church is $500 for everything....$75 for precana, $425 for everything else.

Hmmm...I went on the Diocese of Rockville Center website and they had a 'marriage preparation course' for $300....maybe it's different?

thats what i thought plus what i have to pay the church and its not cheap i was shocked at amt. they are charging us.

Our Pre-Cana is $75.. for 'photocopies' we were told

ah that is for that weekend pre cana if either your church doesnt offer it or you can not do it through your church when they offer it. I think the standard priced through your parish is only $75 and the priest rather you do it with the parish then do those one stop pre cana's.
