My BF was getting married on 6/14 at St. Pats in NY and the reception was at Tribeca. She decided she no longer wanted to get married and broke it off last week.
My other BF was getting married on 6/28/03 and .....she left her cell phone in the house and her FH picked it up and it was this guy who decided to tell her FH that he was sleeping with her. She never told any of us....so he called off the wedding yesterday -her invitations went out on Saturday....

OMG!!! someone i work with had a $100k wedding in june and by september divorce proceedings had begun - she was sleeping around.

she never had any plans to break it off...she hasn't confirmed that it is all true but she has not denied it either...plus she has a really bad track record...she got caught about a year ago before they got engaged ..she then decided she wanted to be with him and begged him to take her back ... the problem is I am good friends with both of them...I have known him my whole life and I have know her for years also...

It's so hard when your friends with both of them. Just try to be supportive by being a listener. I've found that this is the best route!

I have one too, FH's good friend was getting married 2 weeks after us and they called it off

Better now than later. The cost now is small compared to the loss that they could have suffered down the road.

Dang that majorly stinks! I agree - better now before they had built a life together.
wow a 100K wedding done in 4 months. That's 25k per married month they were together

We had some friends call off one. Its for the best. i am sorry but anyone that marries someone that has cheated on them is really asking for heartache.
I think its best its off now. I mean think about it. She is cheating and they are not even at the 7 year itch yet.
the cost of a wedding...is usually less expensive than a divorce!!!
my sister's ex's sister knew she didn't want to get married 4 months before the weddidng...but was too embarassed to call it off...and they waited until after 1 1/2 years of being married to finally get a divorce...I just think thats a waste of 2 years!!

I know of 3 friends who's marriages ended in Divorce. Better now than later!! My 3 friends was because of infidelity! Two of them was because of she was unfaithful. It is just upsetting that some people do not consider their marriage to be sacred.
