2 MOHs=1 or 2 MOH toasts?

2 MOHs=1 or 2 MOH toasts?

I have 2 MOHs. One is my sister, the other is my best friend. If only one of them is going to make a speech I feel it should be my sister. But what about both? Are guests going to feel like this is overkill?

Also does the MOH usually make a speech or is it usually only the best man?

My MOH is making a speech... You should ask them, and maybe both will want to, maybe only one might... if they're short and sweet then I dont think it will be over kill :)

I'm actually not asking them to make speeches. I mean they can if they want to but I'm not going to force them. So far the Best Man is the only speech that will be given. If both my MOHs decide they want to give a speech, than knowing them both, it will be short, sweet and to the point LOL

I'm leaving it up to them too. I don't want them to feel unconfortable. If they both want I dont think its an overkill.

I had two matron's of honors and only one of them did a speech/toast. The best man and Matron of Honor made a speech/toast.

my cousin got married and i was one of the 2 MOH. i did not know i was supposed to make a speech up until they called my name! i thought the other MOH will do the speech.

so yeah, both could give you a speech.

i have two best men and they are giving a joint speech ... if your MOH's know each other and are friendly, maybe this is a good option for you too?

Wow....how'd that go? Are you normally comfortable speaking in front of people?

I might talk to both of them about it and ask if they'd LIKE to make a speech. I don't want to force anyone either knowing my best friend isn't a public speaker, she actually has a bit of social anxiety. I'm afraid if I say 'You can if you want to' she'll feel obligated, even if I say 'Don't feel obligated' :)

I want her to have a good time that day, I don't want her to be nervous about making a speech. I guess the best option is just to say all of this to her.

The MOH speeches are relatively new... traditionally its just been the Best Man... i didnt speak as MOH at my sisters wedding and shes not making a speech at mine...

if i were you id talk to your MOH's about it...

i was one of 2 MOHs and the other MOH was the grooms sister. she refused to do a speech. They left it up to me if i wanted to do one.. and i ended up doing it because i felt bad if no one did it. The best man also did one.
