to number or write on the back of the response card you send out - that way if you get responses like 'mr. and mrs. x' are coming and you invited a lot of people from the X family, you will know who it is! and some people dont fill out their names and just are stupid
so its a way of making sure you know who the response is from!

they're to number the back of your invites incase people respond without putting their name on it and you don't have ESP.

Wow I never thought of that I guess I was giving people the benefit of the doubt and didnt realize that some people could be dumb like that I guess its one more thing to add to my list of things to buy!
