So I am a duet bride and I have two photographers for 10 hours each.
My question is what time should the photographer get to where I am. I will be getting ready at a hotel in the area, so should they be there the entire time I am getting ready or just part of the time. I don't need an exact time, but just what you ladies think, should they be there the entire time or just when im close to being done getting ready?
Also people using two photogs are you having the other one with FH getting ready or just saving him/her for later so they can stay later.
If we have someone with each of us we will prob need to pay for an extra hour for at least one of them to make it til the end of the night.... what do you think?
TIA!!

Re: 2 photogs
I dont know if i have an answer but maybe this helps...
how far are you from the ceremony location? i dont know if you should have the photog there the whole time.. maybe for like a half hour while your getting ready... like when you put ur dress on?
im not having the photog go to fh getting ready.. the second photog will just meet fh at church because we didnt want to pay for the extra hour.
also what hotel are you staying at? i need to find a hotel close to the nrc and the closest one is the marriot next door? have you looked at this place.. nice/big/small?

Jill - I responded to you on 2010.
Kind of off topic, but what Marriott is next door to the NRC?
I'm using Duet too. My ceremony is at 3 so they are going to meet me at 1. I am def sending one to FH's house. But i have them for 11.5 hours

I don't think so orginally we were supposed to have one for 8 and one for 10... but he made us wait so he upped the other one to match the first...We got a great deal so im certainly not complaining, but I just am torn on whether or not to have someone with FH

Re: 2 photogs
We had 3! lol..
The two got to our rooms in the hotel at the east wind in the AM. One had me getting ready, and one was with hubby.
Then two of them were with us the entire night and the third (the photo journalist) only stayed for half the night.

I have having Duet for 12 hours. Their packages definitely vary according to hours, if you want more hours you have to either pay more or not take something else.
I am having one photographer go to FH's and one come to mine. We have them from 12:30-12:30... ceremony starts at 2:30 and reception ends at 12:30

i'm gonna try to bargin to add the hour to one of them, ill pay for it if I have to, but we didn't get an engagment shoot so i feel like an extra hour should be thrown in

Re: 2 photogs
I worked with Duet for my wedding, they arrive exactly 1 1/2 before you are ready to leave to your ceremony. So when your make-up artist/hair-stylist is doing your hair & make-up, they will be there to take photos and film the entire process. Don't worry, it will be enough time, you don't have to fret over them not being able to capture the getting ready part. They will have more than enough photos and film captured. Since you have two photographers, one of them will be with FH to take photos of him getting ready as well. However, he won't be filmed (if you have video in your package), only the brides get filmed for the video. So for the 10 hr. package, which was the one that I had for my wedding, you will get exactly two photographers and 1 person for the video (if you add that to your package). One photographer and person for the video will arrive together to film and take photos of you when you are getting your make-up & hair done, FH will have his photos taken with the other photographer. They will then jump into their car to meet up with you at your ceremony and get all of the photos taken and film it on video. Don't worry, they're professionals, they will know their timing and use it wisely. The 10-hr package is enough for getting ready photos to end of the night, overtime is not necessary (Esp if your ceremony starts at 10am, if earlier than OT might be necessary). If you have any further questions, feel free to FM me. Good luck with your wedding plans!
